Which ladies' t-shirt should you choose?
Every tee in this range is AS Colour, so the real differences are fabric weight, fibre and cut. Weight is measured in gsm (grams per square metre), and a higher number means a thicker, more structured shirt. This table covers the styles we've checked against their product pages.
| Style | Fabric and fit listed | Suits |
| Basic Tee | 160 gsm, 100% cotton, regular fit | Event crews and large runs |
| Maple Tee | 180 gsm, 28-singles combed cotton, regular fit | Staff uniforms and everyday merchandise |
| Maple Organic Tee | 180 gsm, 34-singles 100% combed organic cotton, regular fit | Brands that want an organic cotton shirt |
| Ringer Tee | 180 gsm, 26-singles 100% combed cotton, contrast neck and sleeve ribbing, regular fit | Retail, cafes and sports clubs |
| Crop Tee | 180 gsm combed cotton, relaxed fit, short body, dropped shoulders | Fashion-led merchandise and fan wear |
| Heavy Faded Tee | 240 gsm, 100% carded cotton, garment dyed, relaxed fit | Merchandise people choose to wear |
| Organic Rib Tee | 330 gsm, 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane, slim fit, scoop neck | Fitted boutique and hospitality looks |
| Maple Active Blend Tee | 160 gsm, 60% recycled polyester and 40% cotton, regular fit, listed as suitable for low to medium impact activities | Gym, studio and fun run teams |
If everyone on the team gets the same shirt, we'd start with the Maple Tee. At 180 gsm it holds its shape and takes a print cleanly, and the colour list is long enough to match most brand palettes. The Basic Tee makes sense when the shirt is a giveaway and the budget is tight, while the Heavy Faded Tee and Organic Rib Tee are the ones to pick when the shirt is the product. The range also includes the Maple Stripe, Basic Stripe, Mali, Shallow Scoop, Classic Minus and Faded Crop tees, and long sleeve styles such as the Dice, Martina, Mock and Organic Rib long sleeves for cooler months.
Colour and size lists vary from style to style, so tell us the shade and size run you need and we'll confirm both before you commit.
How can you brand ladies' t-shirts?
Most of these tees are cotton, so we brand them with the methods that suit cotton. We leave sublimation off the list for these, since it only works on polyester in light colours.
- Screen printing is what we'd recommend for most orders. A one or two colour logo on the chest bonds well to cotton, and the cost per shirt falls as the quantity grows.
- DTF transfers handle full-colour artwork and fine detail without a setup for each colour, which makes them the better fit for short runs and for blends like the Active Blend, though the feel and wash life differ from screen print.
- Embroidery gives a stitched look for a small chest logo. It sits best on the heavier cotton styles, because dense stitching can pucker a light or stretchy fabric, so on the Basic Tee and Organic Rib Tee we'd normally print instead.
Product pages offer one, two or three decoration positions, so a chest logo with a slogan across the back is simple to arrange. The free digital proof shows the method, size and position, and nothing goes to production until you approve it.
Ordering ladies' t-shirts
There's no minimum, so a team of six can order as easily as a festival crew of six hundred. You can mix styles, colours and sizes in one order and all of it counts toward quantity pricing, which many of these products show on the product page. Send a size breakdown with your enquiry, then your quote confirms the branded price, you approve the proof and we decorate in house.
Who buys ladies' t-shirts?
- Hospitality, retail and beauty teams wear them on shift, so the brand is in front of customers all day, and a shirt cut for women usually gets worn more willingly than one that doesn't fit.
- Event organisers and charities print tees for fun runs, fundraisers and conferences that people wear well past the day, which keeps the cause or sponsor visible.
- Brands, studios and clubs sell tees as merchandise, where a heavier or cropped style gets worn for years.
If you run several sites or reorder shirts each year, the enquiry form is also the way to ask about an online store or uniform program. Logos you supply must be ones you own or have permission to use.
What goes with ladies' t-shirts?
Most buyers match the shirt with an AS Colour cap or hat, and for winter add a ladies' sweatshirt or knit or a beanie. If staff need a collar, look at ladies' shirts and polos, and for hot-weather teams ladies' singlets and tanks. Mixed teams can put the same design on men's t-shirts, and family events on kids' t-shirts. Our wider custom t-shirts range covers other brands, and the kitting service packs a tee into new-starter kits.
