If you only want one bag for a whole club, we would choose a mid-size duffel in a dark colour, because it fits most sports and hides scuffs. When the budget is tight and the bags are given out in hundreds, a printed drawstring bag gets the logo onto more backs for less. How do you brand a sports bag?
The three methods we use most on sports bags are these.
- Screen printing puts a solid, hard-wearing colour on flat panels, so it is the usual choice for team bags in volume. Each colour adds a setup, which means one or two colours keeps it economical. See our screen printing service.
- Embroidery gives a raised, stitched logo that suits a structured bag for coaches, staff or a club's senior squad. It needs a digitised stitch file and handles fine detail less well than print.
- Transfers carry full colour, gradients and detail on short runs, which makes them the answer for a multi-colour club crest. Our DTF transfer service explains the process.
For most club and event orders we would pick a one or two colour screen print on the front panel, since it lasts through years of dragging across car boots and change rooms. Sublimation is a poor fit here because it needs light polyester, and most sports bags are dark. Most products in this category offer one, two or three decoration positions, and the artwork team confirms the method and logo size on your proof.
How ordering works
There is no minimum order, so a small club can order twelve bags and a large event can order a few thousand. Send your logo and we will return a free digital proof showing the position, size and colours, and nothing goes into production until you approve it. Stocked bags are decorated in house, and some orders can be ready the same day. Wheeled bags are bulky, so freight is quoted separately, and custom made bags usually come by sea.

Can you print a full-colour design on a sports bag?

What artwork file do you need for a sports bag logo?
A vector file is best: AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF, with fonts converted to outlines. Screen print and embroidery digitising both need vector artwork. For a full-colour transfer, a PNG or JPG at 300 dpi at the actual print size works. If you only have a low resolution logo, the artwork team can redraw it.
What is the minimum order for promotional sports bags?
There is no minimum order, so you can order a dozen bags for one team. Each order carries a one-off setup for the logo, which means the price per bag drops noticeably from around 10 units. Ordering several bag styles in one order also counts together toward quantity pricing, and the quote shows your exact figures.
How long do custom sports bags take to arrive?
Some stocked bags decorated in house can be ready the same day, and the quote confirms timing for your order. Bulky custom made bags usually travel by sea and can take up to about 6 weeks, while lighter custom bags sent by air usually arrive 1 to 3 weeks after you approve the sample. What should I check on a sample sports bag before ordering?
Check the zip, the strap stitching and the base, because those fail first on a bag that carries boots and wet kit. We can supply an undecorated sample to check the fabric weight and stitching, and a digital mock-up to check the logo. We confirm the sample cost with your quote, and it comes off the order if you go ahead.
Can I mix colours and styles of sports bag in one order?
Yes, you can mix bag colours and combine different styles in one order, and the whole order counts toward quantity pricing. A club might order navy duffels for players and a smaller drawstring pack for juniors under one design. Light bags share one logo colour version and dark bags a light one, and the proof shows both.
