Which leather wallet should you choose?
Start with what the recipient will carry, because that decides the size. The Pierre Cardin Leather Wallet is the full-size option: Italian leather, zippered cash and coin pockets, a transparent ID slot, multiple card slots and RFID protection, 93 x 120 mm, in an individual gift box. At the slim end, the split leather credit card wallets (Lee, Roy and Logan) hold cards only, and Lee measures 11.5 x 7.1 x 0.5 cm.
| Style | Examples in the range | Best for |
| Bifold wallets | Pierre Cardin Leather Wallet, Oakley Leather Wallet, Leather Bifold Wallet | Client gifts and executive thank-yous |
| Card wallets and cases | Split leather credit card wallets, Walkk Cord cardholder, cactus leather card case | Conference gifts and staff rewards |
| Key wallets | Leather key wallets Zander and Phillipa | Real estate, automotive and trades gifts |
| Travel wallets | The Range, Premium and San Remo leather travel wallets | Staff and clients who fly often |
| Pen and wallet sets | The Cerruti 1881 sets | Milestone and end-of-year gifts |
Check the material in the product name before you order. Most styles are leather or split leather (cut from the lower layers of a hide, so a little less refined than full grain), but a few are imitation or leather-look, and those suit a lower-cost giveaway better than a gift. If you want a lighter metal option, our money clips sit alongside, and frequent flyers can compare the wider travel wallets.
How do you brand a leather wallet?
For most orders we recommend debossing, because the logo is pressed into the leather so there's no ink to rub off, and it gives the quiet, tone-on-tone look that executives expect from a wallet. Laser engraving is the other method we use on leather. Both are single tone, so neither can reproduce a full-colour logo or a photo.
- Debossing suits simple logos with clean lines and gives the softest finish.
- Laser engraving burns the mark into the surface, so it can hold finer detail than a deboss.
Most product pages offer one, two or three decoration positions. The logo is sized to the area available on that wallet, so a slim card wallet takes a small mark and a bifold has more room. Our artwork team confirms the method and position on the free proof, which you'll see before anything is made. If your logo is a low resolution file, send it anyway and they'll tell you whether it needs redrawing.
How does ordering work?
There's no minimum order, so you can order twelve wallets for a leadership team or several hundred for a client list. Each order has a one-off setup for the logo, which is why the unit price falls as quantities rise. Some wallets show quantity pricing on the product page, and your quote confirms the branded price. We send a free digital proof for approval, then production starts, and some stocked orders can be ready the same day. Choose a pen and wallet set or a gift-boxed wallet and we can build it into a kitting pack.
Who buys promotional leather wallets?
Most buyers are after a gift that lasts. A wallet is used daily for years, so your logo sits in front of the recipient every time they pay for something, which a mug in a cupboard cannot do.
- Client thank-yous: a debossed bifold in a gift box says more than a bottle of wine, and fits well with other corporate gifts.
- Christmas and end of year: production slots fill from September, so book early if wallets are going into a gift set.
- Real estate and trades: a leather key wallet goes into the pocket with the keys and gets used on every job.
Pair a wallet with a branded pen from our pens range, a notebook from the compendiums, or a leather keyring to match. For the wider range of cases, purses and holders, see our promotional wallets.
