Amy Polo or Active Work Polo: which one should you choose?
There are two styles here, and they do different jobs. The AS Colour Amy Polo is the one most teams want: a 180 gsm, 28-singles 100% combed cotton polo (the marle colour is 15% viscose) in White, Grey Marle, Navy and Black, in sizes XS to 2XL. The AS Colour Womens Active Work Polo is built for people who move around, because it's 185 gsm 100% recycled polyester that wicks moisture and dries quickly. Gsm is grams per square metre, a measure of how heavy the fabric is.
| Style | Fabric on the product page | Colours and sizes | Where it fits |
| AS Colour Amy Polo | 180 gsm, 28-singles combed cotton, slim fit, preshrunk, 3 button placket | White, Grey Marle, Navy, Black; XS-2XL | Reception, retail, hospitality and office teams |
| AS Colour Womens Active Work Polo | 185 gsm 100% recycled polyester, moisture wicking, quick drying, 3 button placket | White, Black; XS-3XL | Active, outdoor and on-your-feet roles |
Both are slim fit and side seamed, so if your team has a mix of body shapes it's worth ordering a sample to check the fit before you commit. The Active Work Polo's page lists a UPF rating of 50+, which is useful for outdoor staff, and it comes in a size up to 3XL. If you are also dressing men, our AS Colour men's shirts and polos cover the matching range.
What's the best way to put a logo on a ladies polo?
For a staff polo we'd embroider the left chest. It lasts as long as the garment, it reads as uniform rather than giveaway, and it won't crack or peel in the wash. Because both polos are light to mid weight, a simple, bold logo stitches best, and fine detail or very small text can get lost, so the proof shows you the logo at actual size.
- Embroidery suits most logos, and your artwork is digitised into a stitch file first.
- DTF transfers suit full-colour logos, gradients and small runs, although the feel and wash life differ from stitching.
- A second position, such as the sleeve or back, is possible, and each product page shows one, two or three position options.
The artwork team confirms the final method and placement on your proof.
How does ordering work?
There's no minimum, so a cafe can order six polos for its front-of-house team, though the price per garment drops noticeably from around 10 because the logo setup is shared across more pieces. You can mix colours and sizes in one order. We send a free digital proof, then nothing is made until you approve it, and some stocked orders can be ready the same day, with your quote confirming timing. Both polos show quantity pricing on the product page, and the quote confirms the branded price.
Who orders AS Colour ladies polos?
Hospitality, retail and real estate managers order the Amy Polo so a whole team looks consistent to customers every shift, and the logo stays on the garment through years of washing. Outdoor and active teams, such as fitness, events and landscaping crews, tend to choose the Active Work Polo for its quick-drying fabric. Multi-site organisations that reorder uniforms, such as franchises, can ask us about an online store and uniform program through the enquiry form.
What goes with a ladies polo?
Teams usually add a layer or a casual option. Look at AS Colour ladies t-shirts for casual days, ladies sweatshirts and knits for winter, ladies singlets and tanks for warm-weather roles and AS Colour caps and hats for outdoor staff. The wider AS Colour women's range has more. For new starters, our kitting service packs a polo with other items into one kit.
To get a quote, use the instant enquiry form at the top of this page or call 1300 247 766, and send your logo if you have it.
