Which AS Colour singlet or tank should you choose?
The grid covers eleven styles, and the useful way to split them is by fabric weight. Gsm is grams per square metre, so a higher number means a thicker, heavier top. The light 150 gsm styles are cheap to put on a big event crew and cool to wear, while the 180 to 240 gsm styles hold their shape through repeated washing and feel more like a retail tank than a giveaway.

| AS Colour Barnard Tank Tee | 150 gsm, 100% combed cotton, raw armhole edges, regular fit | Casual merch, hospitality, festivals |

| AS Colour Classic Tank | 220 gsm, 100% combed cotton, relaxed fit | Gyms, retail, a sturdier giveaway |
| AS Colour Mens Heavy Faded Tank | 240 gsm, 100% carded cotton, boxy oversized fit, garment dyed | Streetwear-style merch for sale |

The grid also has the Barnard Stripe Tank and the Stone Wash Barnard Tank, which suit retail-style merch where the garment itself is part of the look. Sizes and colours differ by style, so check the product page for the range. If you're ordering for a general team and have no strong view, the Staple Tank is the one we'd start with: it's heavy enough to wear well and plain enough to take most logos.
What's the best way to put a logo on a singlet?
For a one or two colour logo in volume, we'd screen print it. The ink sits in the cotton, the unit cost falls as the run grows, and it's the usual choice for event singlets. Screen printing carries a setup for each colour, so it's less suited to photos or gradients.
- DTF transfers suit full-colour artwork and smaller runs, though the feel and wash life differ from a screen print.
- Embroidery works better on the heavier styles than on the 150 gsm tops, where stitching can pucker light knit. The artwork team will say if your logo needs a different method.
- Sublimation only works on white or light polyester, so it applies to the Staple Active Tank and never to the cotton styles.
Most logos go on the chest or across the upper back, and the logo is sized to the space the garment offers. Straps and armholes limit a tank more than a tee, so a compact, bold design reads best. Your free proof shows the position, size and method before anything is made.
How does ordering work?
There's no minimum, so a gym can order a dozen singlets or a festival can order a few hundred. Each order carries a one-off logo setup, which is why the unit price drops noticeably from around 10. We send a free digital proof and nothing is made until you approve it. Most of these products show quantity pricing on the product page, and the quote confirms your branded price.
Who orders men's singlets and tanks?
Gyms, fitness studios and sports clubs order them as members' and coaches' wear, and a singlet gets worn to every session, so the logo is seen all year. Event organisers and fun run committees hand them to volunteers and crew, who are visible all day in summer heat. Hospitality venues, surf and beach businesses use the heavier tanks as staff wear or as merch customers pay for.
Multi-site groups that reorder the same singlet each season, such as gym franchises, can ask us about an online store and uniform program through the enquiry form.
What goes well with men's singlets and tanks?
Teams often pair a singlet with a cap, so see our AS Colour caps and hats. For cooler days there are AS Colour men's t-shirts, and men's pants and shorts complete a team kit. Women's teams can look at AS Colour ladies singlets and tanks, and broader sportswear sits in active and gym wear. For new staff packs, our kitting service bundles a singlet with other items.
